Our Story
Founded in 2018, Furthering the Cause was created to fulfill a dream held by Dan Higgins. When Dan was in the military, friends would ask him to promise to give to the mission trips they planned to take when they retired. Going was important to them and supporting them was important to him.
In Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Dan learned it is money and the logistic pipeline that wins wars. Dan realized he was gifted in both these areas, and there was nothing he cared about more than furthering the cause of Christ. He dreamed of establishing a charity endowment that would preserve the principle of added funds and give away the dividends. This would be a permanent donation with a permanent solution to help grow a permanent Kingdom. Furthering the Cause is the fulfillment of that vision.
